Magazines for Collage: An Artful Blogging Flipthrough

One of the questions I get most in the studio is “What magazines do you use for journaling, dreamboards and collage?” I thought I would do a little series on some of my favourites, starting with Artful Blogging. Let me know if you like it. If you do, there will be more :)

Thanks Jamie. I really enjoyed the magazine tour. I am one of those people who is always asking mixed media artists which mags they use and Artful Blogging is not one I had heard of before. I will definitely be checking it out.

Oh, Jamie, this is soooo bad for me. I am on a magazine diet. And now I want this one as much as a hot fudge sundae!

As usual, everything you share touches me in some way. This magazine is one I’ve heard of and have never looked at, so thanks for that. I wanted to reach in and tear out several pages!! Oh and by the way, your new overhead video thingy is great!! It was so easy to view your sharing. Thank you, thank you.

love it… but shipping to switzerland is insane – suppose i never get my hand on it – same as with bella grace… if i would like to order in an envelope i would pay around 33$ or double if i chose a box (which aure would make sense given the long trip)… – sad face here…

Oh, I do understand! Only once did I indulge in having one sent to Canada! After that I was lucky that they started stocking it. Do you have any magazines there that you love?

  5. I admit, I am a magazine junkie! I love the Stampington & Company Magazines, I just picked up the beautiful Bella Grace and Artful Blogging for $19.99 each at our Barnes and Noble Book Store. The first time I ordered thru the company but because it comes from another country it took weeks to arrive so I was overjoyed to find these books at our book store. Bella Grace has so many wonderful and fun list to make that I use in my journals. It takes me forever though to actually decide to cut into them. Sometimes I make a copy instead of cutting a photo or article.
I enjoy your studio and all you share with us Jamie. Thank you, Thank you:-)

I can totally relate! I remember when they started publishing Where Women Create Business I couldn’t get it anywhere. I invested a lot in getting it sent to Canada! I’m thankful it is sometimes now on the shelf at my local stores. It’s a wonderful thing that these magazines can be a joy to read, a joy to have and then eventually, a joy to make use of too!

I’m so glad you’re enjoying being at the studio, Judy. Thank you!

  6. That was fun, Jamie. It reminded me of lazy mornings sitting around my mom’s kitchen table years ago when we would look through magazines and, her favorite – cookbooks! We would sit, sip coffee and share favorite bits back and forth. Warms my heart remembering. I look forward to more like this!
