Sharing Our Journal Stories: Amy & Mattea

In support of Give a Girl a Journal, which launches February 14th, I’ve invited some of my dear friends and colleagues to share their personal experience with journaling.

Today I am so excited to share with you the journal stories of Amy Sedgwick, co-founder of Red Tent Sisters, and her daughter, 10-year-old Mattea Levman. This is incredibly special for me because Amy has been an avid supporter of this project since it was the seed of an idea and Mattea was a part of GDay Toronto, where I introduced a vibrant group of 10-12 year old girls to the power of journaling. I hope that you enjoy all they have to share about the power of journaling.

You can find out more about Amy and at Red Tent Sisters.

This was quite lovely & interesting! Mattea is so articulate-what a joy to listen to her experience and advice! And wow Amy-so many different journals, how inspiring! “Give a journal, give a girl a voice”-beautiful!

That was so good! I could feel how much you both like writing. It is a most wonderful way to express feelings, isn’t it? I liked the sentence you ended it with – very true. Thank you for sharing your lovely voices with us.
